My Friends,
Stories are running rampant this morning that The Washed-Up Veteran Quarterback
is truly washed up and will announce his retirement. But remember, this guy
changes his mind more than a high school girl deciding on a prom dress.
Personally, I won't believe it until Aaron Rodgers or Craig Nall takes the
first snap on opening day in September. And the Bears will beat their asses,
too.
Even then, The Washed-Up Veteran Quarterback just might be under center for
another team, kind of like Reggie White's "retirement tour" and
subsequent resurrection for a year in Carolina:
As I read the story, it sounds to me like he wants to return but they don't
want him back. How perfect is that? After 17 years, management tells him
"don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!"
Buh-bye. With Lovie Smith holding a 6-2 record against The Washed-Up Veteran
Quarterback, I'm truly sad to see him go.
